Linda Powers Tomasso

Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
PhD student
Hartford, Connecticut Area
As a PhD student of Environmental Health in the Population Health Sciences Program at Harvard Chan, Linda Tomasso is researching positive associations between exposure to nature and various health outcomes— physiological, emotional, and behavioral—as well as differential responses to being immersed in nature given baseline greenspace exposure and use. She has adapted eco-systems service modeling and evaluation and is applying that approach to dose-response curves that vary between individuals and subgroups, with an end goal of creating policy that supports urban nature for healthier communities. Linda's current work is informed by her policy background in federal- and state-level government.
